So, we've all heard about the standard non-fiction books about BDSM...
How about fiction?
I've found a number of BDSM related fiction (full length novels) that I've enjoyed, but am always looking for more.
My favorites, without doubt, are the books of "The Marketplace" series by Laura Antoniou (http://www.iron-rose.com/marketplace/). I love love love her work! I can't wait for the next one to come out.
Some other stuff:
"The Story of O" by Pauline Reage
The "Kushiel" Series by Jacqueline Carey
The "Beauty" Series by Anne Rice
"Exit to Eden" by Anne Rice
What are some of your favorites? Any suggestions. |

L'Image (The Image) by Jean de Berg is a classic of the same era and quality as "O".
There's also Nine and a Half Weeks, Elisabeth McNeil;
Return to the Chateau, the sequel to "O";
Meeting the Master, a collection of short stories by Elissa Wald;
and Macho Sluts by Pat Califia has some good stories in it.
For another Antoniou treat, try No Other Tribute, a collection edited by her.
Less to my taste but probably de rigeur to include; Justine and Juliette by Sade;
Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher Masoch, for femdom readers
I also found The Torture Garden by Octave Mirbeau to be interesting, especially for its era. In the same vein I have a collection of Victorian Erotica titled The Pearl that isn't especially BDSM but still impressive.
Wandering off onto that tangent, I'd throw in the art of Stanton and Willie - not really writings - but they are illustrated stories; and the poetry of Anais Nin sometimes gets pretty wicked. Plus it's great to read to a tied-up sub!
