There are two leather clubs in the area that I know of—the Baltimore Eagle, and Shipmates. Didn’t want to not mention them.

Dark Connections is the most comphrensive website for the research of BDSM for people of colour. It has a nice history, personals, stories, and a munches/organization page. And the pics are lovely, too Excellent starting point!

Black B.E.A.T. (Black Expressions Alternative Tastes) is the largest organization of African-American kinksters in the country, hosting conferences, classes, groups, and parties in many major cities.

If you are an African-American submissive woman just beginning your journey, get some inspiration and find a kindred spirit at Black Women for Submission, a site ran by a black woman in a 24/7 Master/slave relationship. I’m hoping her Master will allow her to update some broken links—until then, I let her know how important her site still is.

My internet research started at sexuality.org’s BDSM Archive . There is an orgy (pun intended) of information there.

I gave a shout-out to the DC/MD/NoVA Multicultural Munch Group meeting every second Saturday of the month, unless there’s a special event. Join the group and Strict or icee will send you a monthly notification.

I am/was a member of the following organizations, where a nice bunch of kinksters allow me to learn and grow:
